Selim Guven received his law degree from Dokuz Eylul University Law School in 1992. Following his internship, he worked in Schellenberg & Haissly Law Firm in Geneva, Switzerland. He worked on various fields including investment banking while in Geneva.

As the manager of Güven Law Office, A. Selim Güven’s practice includes Corporate and Commercial Law, Contracts, Energy Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate Law and Tax Law.

He has worked as (of) Counsel for Grand Municipality of Izmir in between 1999-2004 advising on key areas mainly regarding Administrative, Construction, Contracts and Real Estate Law.

A. Selim Güven has in depth experience in Energy Law, including but not limited to foundation and development of electricity generation facilities, negotiation of transaction documents, contracts with government authorities, obtaining necessary permits and licenses, reviewing of all financial documents and loan agreements. He has acted on behalf of energy companies in connection with the construction of power plants in several locations in Turkey.

He advises domestic and international companies on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, Capital Market matters, management contracts, shareholder arrangements, share transfers, corporate governance and restructuring.
