A. Selim Güven

A. Selim Güven graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law in 1992. After completing his legal traineeship, he practised at Schellenberg Wittmer (formerly known as Schellenber & Haissly) in Geneva, Switzerland, where his work covered a range of areas, including investment banking.

Between 1999 and 2004, he served as counsel to the Metropolitan Municipality of İzmir on administrative, construction, contractual and real estate matters.

As the managing partner of Güven Law Office, his practice covers corporate and commercial law, contracts, energy law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate law and tax law.

He has extensive experience in energy law, advising on the establishment and development of electricity generation facilities, the negotiation of transaction documents, agreements with government authorities, permits and licences, and the review of financial documents and loan agreements.

He also advises domestic and international companies on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, shareholder arrangements, share transfers, corporate governance and restructuring. He speaks English fluently.
